Maria Cajigas

Maria Cajigas, age 81, of Lake Station, IN passed away on Tuesday, October 18,2022 at home surrounded by her family. Maria was born on August 2,1941 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to the late Juan Maria and Francisco (nee Gonzales) Molina.  She married the love of her life Domingo German Cajigas in Hoboken, New Jersey and she devoted her life to her husband and their five beautiful children. She was a dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend.  Maria will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Maria is survived by her two sons, German D. (Sandra) Cajigas of Portage, Indiana and Alexander Cajigas of Lynn, Massachusetts; three daughters, Rosemary Munoz of Portage, Indiana, Betzaida Cajigas of Lake Station, Indiana and Norma Iris (David Aponte) Columna of Portage, Indiana; five brothers, Lauro Molina, Reymundo Molina, Gregorio Molina, Benito Molina and Angel Molina; five sisters, Dionesia Gonzales, Isabel Molina, Luisa Molina, Brigida Molina and Calla Molina; grandchildren, Yvette Cajigas Spong, Daniel Munoz, Enid Munoz, Rosalee Munoz, Rick Fuller, Amie Fuller, Norma Santiago, Jonsi Mora, Anthony Maceo, Walter Jaime, Kelvin Jaime, Mark Espinosa, and Alishmarie Cajigas, and 23 great grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends. Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo German Cajigas and her parents, Juan, and Francisca Molina. A funeral service will be held Monday, October 24, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. an additional funeral services Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 10:00 am Latin Pentecostal Church, 3950 Marquette Road, Lake Station, Indiana 46405, with Rev. Israel Santiago. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be held Monday, October 24, 2022, from 4:00 pm until time of service also at Latin Pentecostal Church in Lake Station.
