Maria Cristina Ruiz

Maria Cristina Ruiz de Rosiles age 79, of Hobart passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023. She was born on July 27, 1943 in Uriangato, Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Baltazar Rosiles and Gracia Lira Rosiles. On May 12, 1968 she married her beloved husband Adan Ruiz in Uriangato. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in East Chicago. Lovingly referred to as Guerra , Cristina will always be remembered for her beautiful soul. She was a nurturing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who dedicated her life to raising each generation of her family with love.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Adan Ruiz; her children, Adam Ruiz, Cristina Campos, Elizabeth Gonzalez and Jose Ruiz; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Baltazar Lira Rosiles; sisters, Yolanda Rodriguez Rosiles and Delia Genoveva Rosiles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Baltazar and Gracia Rosiles; and sisters, Gloria Angelica Rosiles Lira, Maria Carlota Martinez Rosiles.

Visitation for Cristina will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, February 27, 2023 at 10:00 am directly at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 3510 Deodar Street, East Chicago, IN 46312.
