MARIAN JOYCE LONG, age 84, of Dyersburg, TN, and formerly of Portage, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 19, 2012 at home. She was born in Gary, IN on May 14, 1928. Marian was a veteran of the US Navy and served in WWII. She was a member of Hobart Assembly of God for 45 years. Marian will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother (Nana).

Marian is survived by her son, Rickie Dean (Michelle) Long of Dyersburg, TN; daughter, Bonieta Lee (Jerry)Estes of Dyersburg, TN; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert Goin and Richard Goin of Valparaiso; 2 sisters, Marietta Young of Michigan City and Vivian Kepplen of Omaha, NE; other loving family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Corwin Long; parents, Carl Milton and Edith Goin; brother, Tommy Goin.

A funeral service for Marian Joyce Long will be Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart with Pastor Ryan McDowell and Pastor George Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.
