Marianna Czilli, age 89, an 82 yr. resident of Lake Station, passed away Monday, February 28,2011 at Millers Mary Manor in Portage. Marianna was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 31,1921 to the late Wilson and Abbie (nee Bennett) Courtney. Marianna was the beloved wife of the late Steve Czilli and dear mother of surviving children; Jack (Willie) Czilli of Valparaiso, IN, Marianna (Bob) Klunder of Portage, IN, Barbara (Bill) Mills of Hobart, IN, Caroline (Larry) Zonder of Portage, IN, Loretta (Tino) Yanez of Lake Station, IN, and Nadine (John) Frame of Valparaiso, 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends. Proceeded in death by her son Stephen Czilli, granddaughter Charlene Eidman and great- grandson Tyler Nunley.
Funeral services are Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Rees Funeral Homes, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation is Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 10:00 am until time of service at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, Lake Station.
