Marie E. Meza

Marie E. Meza, age 72, of Hobart passed away Sunday September 1, 2024, at Colonial Nursing and Rehab Center in Crown Point. She was born October 12, 1951, in Gary, Indiana to the late Joseph and Anna (Chappey) Laich, Sr. She was a medical biller coder working for several hospitals throughout her career. Marie loved her family and playing BINGO.

She is survived by her two daughters, Angela (Chris) Morton of Somerset, Kentucky and Tina (Joe) Martisauskas of Hobart; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many other family members and dear friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Joseph Laich, II and Ted Laich.

Visitation for Marie will be Wednesday September 11, 2024, from    2-7 pm at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, IN 46342. Her Funeral Service will follow immediately at 7 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Miriam Schmidle officiating.
