MARIE OLSON, age 82, of Grovertown, and a former longtime Hobart resident, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013. She was born on April 30, 1931in Benton, Tennessee to the late William and Lennie Holden. Marie was a retiree of the Anderson Company and formerly a member of the Hobart VFW Auxiliary Post #5365 and the Lake Station American Legion Auxiliary Post #100. She was previously an avid golfer and always enjoyed the Monday night ladies league at Cressmoor.

She is survived by her sister, Johnnie (Harvey)Harris of Dawson, GA; 3 nephews and 8 nieces; other loving family and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; 3 brothers, Birch, Booster and James Holden; 3 sisters, Mary Kate, Ora and Martha.

A funeral service for Marie will be Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery.
