MARIE C. VENCKUS, age 67, of Crown Point/Lakes of the Four Seasons passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 at her residence. Marie had been a resident of LOFS since 1991. She was born on October 9, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Lucille Peters. Marie was a wonderful mother, grandmother, companion and a friend to all.
She is survived by her loving family; son, Thomas J. (Colleen) Clark V of Chicago, IL; daughter, Wendy Konzen of Palos Heights, IL; brother, Charles (Paulette) Peters Sr. of Midlothian, IL; sister Nancy (Raymond) Howe of Cocoa, FL; 3 grandchildren, Stephen Konzen Jr., Ashley Konzen, Brian Barth and significant other, Charles Vigland.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lucille (Benzenberg) Peters and by her sister, Virginia Rackovski.
Memorial contributions are preferred to St. Anthony Hospice. A memorial visitation for Marie will be held from 12 Noon to 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph St., Winfield/Crown Point, IN 46307 with a memorial service at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ronald L. Deck, officiating.
