Marilyn K. Kerr

Marilyn K. (nee Kallsnick) Kerr, age 84, of Valparaiso and formerly of Portage, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017. She was born on March 21, 1932 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Samuel and Cletus (nee Caver) Kallsnick. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Marilyn is survived by her sons, Robert (Sharon) Kerr and Kenneth(Lori) Kerr; daughter, Katherine (Bob) Breitenbach; sister, Shirley (Len) Mason; eight grandchildren, Kimberly, Kevin( Jeanne), Keith (Vickie), Lauren, Cecily, Jessica (Jason), Bryan and Kyle; eleven great-grandchildren, Alexis, Tristan, Kalie, Olivia, Chloe, Ashley, Lexi, Dylan, Andrew, Logan, and Dakota ; two special friends, Russell Scheibel and Judy Conners, her furry friend, Nelson and many loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Kerr and her parents; brother, Frank Kallsnick and sister, Beverly Baker.
In lieu of flowers donations to VNA Hospice in Valparaiso would be appreciated.
A funeral service for Marilyn will be Monday, March 20, 2017 at 10:30 am at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage with Pastor Roger Bower officiating. She will be laid to rest at McCool Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. also at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
