MARILYN F. POOR, age 66, of Merrillville, Indiana, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at home. Marilyn had been a lifelong Northwest Indiana resident and was a self-employed interior decorator. She loved fishing and was a loving mother who had a "sunny" disposition and infectious laugh.
Marilyn is survived by 5 children: Lovita (Channing) Niesen of Tucson, AZ, Harold (Clarissa) Holmes, also of Tucson, Marilyn Paque of Nevada, Jim (Jennie) Holmes of DeMotte, IN and John Holmes of Montana, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Freddie (Lewis) Carver of Hobart, Yvonne (John) Marlow of Cedar Lake, IN and Leslie Guest of Oregon, 3 brothers, Thomas Poor of Nevada, Robert Guest of Montana and John (Betty) Woodward of Des Plaines, IL, many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Loveless.
A memorial service for Marilyn will be held Monday, August 13, 2012 at 4:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart with Rev. Larry Fugett officiating.
