Obituary

Marilyn Keith Senour, age 85, a longtime resident of Ogden Dunes, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at her home following a short illness. She was born on September 14, 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Delver and Mary (Pollock) Keith. She grew up in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan and was a 1947 graduate of Grosse Pointe High School. Marilyn continued her education at the National College of Education in Evanston, Illinois and graduated in June of 1951. Following graduation she taught in the East Chicago, Indiana School System and later in Portage, Indiana. While teaching in East Chicago Marilyn met Robert Anderson Senour and they were married on July 5, 1952 in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. Marilyn had been a member of Tri Kappa (beta Rho, Zeta Mu, and Beta Rho Associate chapters) and the Junior Assembly. She was also a member and past-president of Ogden Dunes Women's Club. Marilyn enjoyed playing bridge and for many years was the scorer for Ogden Dunes Afternoon Ladies Bridge-A-Rama. She was also a member of the Ogden Dunes Presbyterian Church.
Marilyn is survived by her three children, Keith Senour of Ogden Dunes, IN; Sarah (David) Lapinski of Manlius, NY; Scott Senour of Annandale, NJ; one sister, Carolyn Watson of Westfield, NJ; one sister-in-law, Nancy Keith of Yale, MI; three grandchildren, Amy, Rachel, and Graham, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 53 years, Robert A. Senour, her brother, Phillip Wayne Keith, and brother-in-law, Harrison "Hap" Watson.
