Mario Michael "Mikey" Guzman, 39, of Lake Station, passed away Friday October 20, 2023.  He was born February 25, 1984, in Gary, Indiana and was adopted by his grandparents, Anselmo and Judith (Atkins) Guzman.

Mikey was a boisterous, fun-loving person who only wanted to bring joy to those around him.  He is a much-loved son, brother, cousin, and father.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and family.  Above all, Mikey adored his three children and fiancée.  He will be greatly missed by all those he knew and loved.

Mikey will be forever remembered by his fiancée, Jakala Goodman; children, Damien Guzman, Zaiden Luick, and Alicia Guzman; parents, Anselmo and Judy Guzman; siblings, Phillip Guzman, Sr., Daniel Guzman, Anselmo Guzman, III, Alicia, Crystal, and Niko; and many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mikey was preceded in death by his brothers, Jamie and Jason Guzman.

Family will greet friends from 2:00pm - 6:00pm Wednesday, October 25 at Rees Funeral Home Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342.  Funeral service will follow at 6:00pm, also at Rees Hobart Chapel.
