Marion F. Lyle

Marion F. Lyle, age 86, of Hobart, IN, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023.

Marion was born on July 29, 1936 in Billings, Montana to the late Francis and Marion (nee Boomler) Lyle.  He was an Operating Engineer with Local 150 and retired in 1993.  Marion was a veteran of the US Air Force and served overseas in Japan.  He married his beloved wife, Judy, on April 20, 1962 and together enjoyed 60 years together.  Marion and Judy were members at First Baptist Church where Marion served as an usher. They then became members of New Life Community Church.  He and Judy enjoyed camping across the South for several winters while Marion was off of work.  Marion also enjoyed playing golf, bird watching, photography, and filmmaking.

Marion is survived by his dear wife; Judy: siblings: Francette (WM) Bidaman and Bonita Clinton; many dear nieces and nephews; and brothers-in-law: Gary (Irene) Rockhill and Dennis (Diane) Rockhill.

Marion is preceded in death by his young children: Scott and Kathey; parents: Francis and Marion; brothers: Gordon Lyle and Gerald Keith Lyle; and sister: Carol (Donald) Burrell.

Family and friends may gather at Rees Funeral Homes, Hobart Chapel (600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart) on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.  A Funeral Service will take place immediately following visitation at 12:00 P.M.  At Rest, Calvary Cemetery.
