Marion "Sabe" Sabo, age 64, of Hobart, IN passed away at home on Friday evening, May 1, 2015. Marion was a resident of Hobart since 1985. He was born in Hammond, IN and grew up in Lansing, IL.

Marion is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Regina (Nee Dybalski) of Hobart, IN; sister, Marilyn Sue (Terrence) Sabo-Stachelski of Lansing, IL; nieces, Kim Marie and Cheryl Ann Abel of Munster, IN; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Christine Ann and Vincent Acevez of Knoxville, TN.
He was preceded in death by parents, Andrew Sabo, Jr. and Mary Agnes Sabo (nee Rusin), brother, PFC Andrew Robert "Bob" Sabo, sister, Shirley Ann (Kenneth) Abel (nee Sabo).

Marion was a painter for most of his career and later worked in custodial services for the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Marion was in the Navy for two years and served on the USS Gilmore. He enjoyed the outdoors, biking, hiking, and woodworking. Marion had an outgoing personality, with countless friends and a wonderful sense of humor.

Receiving of friends will be Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 5 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Memorial dinner immediately following at Assumption BVM Church Hall, 3530 Illinois Street, Hobart, IN.
