MARJORIE ELIZABETH BLISS (nee CLEMENTS), age 99, of Lake Station, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018.  She was born on October 17, 1918 to the late Charles and Margaret (nee Reed) Clements.  Marjorie was baptized at Hessville Christian Church in Hammond in 1938.  She served as precinct committee woman for the Republican Party in the late 1980s and early 1990s. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Joseph (Kathleen) Beverly, Charles (Barbara) Beverly, James Beverly, Barbara Waddell, Charmaine (Richard)Adkins, Fred Bliss, Jr., Mary (Larry) Waddell, Diane Johnson, Guy (Marjorie) Bliss, Paula (Dennis) Hansen; grandchildren, Carol Quinn, Joseph Beverly, Lisa Worthen, Beth Lynch, Cheryl (Brad) Horner, Joseph Knudson, Dawn French, Pam Horner, Cyndy Snyder, James Beverly, Jr., Tina London, Wayne, Mark, and Randy Beverly,  David Waddell, Leanne Dawson, Jason Waddell, James "Ed" Stewart, Nicole Shelbourne, Doug Waddell, Lorri Bryant, Susan West, Wally Jackson, Terri Laird, Billy and Patrick Johnson, Brian and Todd Bliss, Blair, Michael and Kathleen Dekker, Cindy Joganic, Sharon Self, and Michelle Ellis; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Bliss; daughter, Charlotte Jackson, brother, Master Sgt. Charles Clements, Jr., grandson, Gary Christenson; daughter in law, Maxine Beverly; great grandson, Thomas Beverly; son-in-law, Richard Waddell.

Visitation for Marjorie will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., from 2:00 -8:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Don Good officiating. A graveside service will be Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens at 11:30 a.m.  Friends and family may gather at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel at 10:30 a.m. to join the procession to the cemetery.
