Marjorie (nee Stubblefield) Flowers, age 88, of Lake Station, passed into Heaven with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, August 6, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Marjorie was born on June 21, 1928 to the late Harmon Austin and Mina Dale (nee Arrington) Stubblefield in Obion, Tennessee. Marjorie retired from City of Gary School district as a school secretary. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Marjorie is survived by her children; son, Michael Ray (Penny) Easley of Laurens, South Carolina; two daughters, Marjorie Louise Martin and Brenda Kay Howell both of Lake Station; four step children, Daniel (Treva) Flowers of Hobart, Charles Lee (Charlotte) Flowers of Tennessee, Sue (James) Tolbert of Hobart and Linda (Butch) Balta of Indianapolis; sister, Mildred Frances Weaver of Mississippi; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, sister in law, Beatrice Stubblefield of Tennessee and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Browder Easley; second husband, Jack M. Flowers; daughter Peggy Joyce Easley; her parents; four siblings, Harmon Austin Jr. "Jack" Stubblefield, Iva Mai White, Glades Elizabeth Edwards and William Howard Stubblefield, and two son-in-law's, James Martin and Charles Howell. A funeral service for Marjorie will take place Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 10:00 am directly at Grace Baptist Church, 5785 Mulberry Avenue, Portage, IN 46368.
