MARJORIE P. JONES (Nee Stewart), age 75, of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Portage. She was born on May 27, 1938 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late John and Edna (nee Mikels) Stewart. Marjorie worked at Bethlehem Steel, Burns Harbor Plant as a fork lift operator and retired in 1999. She was a member of United Steelworkers Local 6787. Marjorie will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
Marjorie is survived by her sister, Frances (Stewart) Trueblood of Frankton; 3 daughters, Teresa (Ronald) Tressler of Hobart, Rhesa (Roe) Magnabosco of Dyer, Marjorie C. Jones of Kokomo; son, Travis W. Jones of Portage; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 6 brothers, George "Buddy", William, John, Daniel, Thomas and Eddie Stewart; 5 sisters, Fern Elizabeth Stewart, Edna Alice House, Shirley Dunn, Janet Powell and Ruth Ray.
A memorial service will be conducted at11:00 am on Friday November 15, 2013 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana 46368 with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Memorial visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of services at the Funeral Home.
