Age 57, passed away Saturday, February 08, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. Marjie was born on March 8, 1956 to John and Bertha (nee Kemp) in Chicago, Illinois. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Marjie is survived by her family; husband Joe D. Lewis of L.O.F.S; mother, Bertha Martin of Illinois; two sons, Mark Lewis of Highland, Indiana Joe (Sheryl) Lewis of L.O.F.S, Indiana; two daughters, Jennifer (Todd) Chiaravallo of Forked River, New Jersey, Mallorie (Jon) McCarty of Lake Village, Indiana ; 9 ½ grandchildren ;three brothers, Lance (Sue) Martin of Illinois, Kevin (Patty) Martin of Illinois, Darrin (Wendy) Martin of Illinois; two sisters, Diane (Jim) Allen of Illinois, Susie (John) Morrin of Illinois, and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father John Martin and her brother, Bruce Martin.
A funeral service for Marjie will be Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 12:00 pm. at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph St., Winfield/Crown Point, 46307, with Howard Clevenger officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville; IN. Visitation will be Monday, February 10, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel.
