Mark A. Fabian, age 61, of Portage passed away Thursday September 21, 2017 in the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso. He was born September 17, 1956 in Gary, Indiana to the late Alfred and Carolyn (Brown) Fabian. Mark was retired from the US Navy and was employed by Bethlehem Steel in Burns Harbor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Mark is survived by his loving wife Cathy; son, Christopher Fabian of Portage; daughter, Melanie Fabian of Lafayette; two grandsons, Dorian and Dayton Fabian; two brothers, Matthew (Liz) Fabian of Macon, GA and John (Terri) Fabian of Hobart; his step-mother Judy Fabian; step-sisters Susie (Bruce) Hathaway and Patty (Wes) Slack; step-brother Mike (Bridget) Compass; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents.

Mark chose to have no attended services.
