Mark Allen Williams, age 61, a resident of Union Mills, passed away on February 29, 2012. He was born on June 22, 1950, in Gary, Indiana, the son of Ernest and Shirley Williams. Mark received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University. Mark was married to Rickey Lea Davis on June 25, 1998, in Las Vegas. Mark was a retired manager from NAPA Auto Parts in LaPorte and had previously worked for Nationwide. He had been a member of the Lions Club and he enjoyed building birdhouses, vegetable and flower gardening, and was a history buff. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to all.

Mark is survived by his loving family; wife Rickey Lea Williams, Union Mills, daughter Keri (David) Nelson, Portage, grandchildren Andrew Nelson and Tristan Nelson, brother Greg (Viviane) Williams, Hobart, sister Gail Jean, Demotte, and other loving family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Doug Williams, Sr.

A visitation for Mark Williams will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 9, 2012, at Rees Funeral Home – Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. Private family services will then be held and cremation will follow. Memorials in Mark's memory may be made to the donor's choice.
