Marko Buncich
Age 85, of Crown Point passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 at Valparaiso Care and Rehab Center. He was a retired self-employed brick mason and owned Buncich Horse Stables where he raised, bred and trained sulky race horses for years at his stables in Valparaiso-Wheeler area. Marko proudly served in the United States Army and was a W. W. II veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 94, VFW Post # 988 both of Valparaiso.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Grayce (nee Goodman) Buncich of Crown Point; Son, Mickey Buncich of Valparaiso; 2 grandsons, Jason and Matthew Buncich; 2 step-sons, Tom (Mary) and Robert Goodman both of Crown Point; 2 step-daughters, Sherry Hughes and Lisa K. (Lowell) Arnold both of Florida; 11 step- grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Steve) Altomere of Crown Point; many other loving family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Buncich; Parents, John and Katie Buncich, and brother, John Buncich. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Valparaiso Care and Rehabilitation Center, 606 Wall Street, Valparaiso, Indiana 46385 would be appreciated.
A funeral for Marko will be held on Tuesday April 16, 2013 at 12:00 p.m.. A visitation will be held, Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 11-12 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel, 10909 Randolph St., Winfield/Crown Point, IN 46307. Burial at Graceland Cemetery Valparaiso.
