Martha L. Deboe

Martha L. DeBoe, age 88, of Lake Station passed away Monday September 4, 2023, in her home. Martha was born July 13, 1935, in Crittenden County, Kentucky to the late Harry C. and Sarah (DeBoe) Vaughn. She was the owner manager of the Wheeler Inn prior to its closing in 2000. She loved cooking for her family and sharing the holidays. She married Kenneth DeBoe who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Sarah (Gregory) Woelk of Lake Station and Carolyn (Dale) Brust of Wanatah; six grandchildren, Shanya Meyer, Jeremy Horn, Patricia DeBoe, Jack Johnson, Gregory Woelk, Jr., Thomas Woelk; seven great grandchildren; and many dear friends and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Martha requested to be cremated with no attended services. Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, Indiana was entrusted with Martha's Services.
