Martha L. King, age 99 of Hobart passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012. She was born on March 5, 1913 in Gary, Indiana to the late Faron and Bertha Kleckner. She was a former Wheeler resident and attended Glen Park School. She loved gardening and especially loved her strawberries. Martha loved when her grandchildren came to visit. She also loved going to visit with her sisters.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Jane Caesar of Hobart, IN; son-in-law, Charles Breezley, grandchildren, Martha "Marty" Thyen, Becky (Darren) Chmelik, Roberta "Bobbie" (Rocco) Pavese, Pamela Lain, Dennis (Sherryl) King, Gregory King, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman King, daughter, Patricia Breezley, son, Wayne King, brothers, Billy and Chuck Kleckner, sisters, Mabel Harms, Frances Jollif, Florence Williams, Alice Brown, Bessie Garrett, Elizabeth Clark, 2 infant siblings and granddaughter, Jan Matlock.

Funeral services are Monday, December 31, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Entombment will follow at Graceland Mausoleum, Valparaiso.
