Martha A. Melendez

Martha A. Melendez, age 45, of Hobart, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022, surrounded by her family.  She was born in Merrillville, Indiana on July 13, 1976. Martha worked as a front-end manager at Pete's Fresh Market.  She enjoyed decorating, cooking, and watching Disney movies.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Martha is survived by her husband, Alfred Melendez; son, Mathew Pagan Cardona; mother, Aurea Luz Arroyo Franqui; sister, Anna Maria Nicole Cardona; brother, Jose Cardona.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Enesto Cardona.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 7:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W.
