MARTHA LOUISE PLANTZ, age 80, of Hammond, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 Golden Living Center, Fountainview, in Portage. Martha had been a lifelong Hammond resident and was a member of the Dyer Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Widow's Club at church.
Martha is survived by 3 daughters, Kathy LeDuc (Randy) of Hobart, Sheron Kramer of Louisiana, Tina Plantz of Hammond, grandchildren: Rickie (Tracy) LeDuc, Jason (Teresa) LeDuc; April, Melissa, Madeline, Rebecca and Justin Plantz; Kevin (Nicole) Plantz and Ryan Wood, 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Louise Plantz, brothers, Bertram & Edward Hodge and sister, Annalee Smolen.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19, 2012 with visitation from 9-10 am at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 am with Dr. David M. Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery in Hammond.
