MARTIN (MARTY) B. O'MELIA, JR, age 57, was reunited with our Lord April 28, 2015. Marty was born February 3, 1958, to Donna and Martin O'Melia, Sr. in Gary, IN. Marty had a love of life. His family and friends were his world; Fishing at any lake, riding his motorcycle, driving his corvette, playing with his German Shepherds, or gardening in his back yard… he loved life and all that God provided to him.

Surviving along with his children Tina (Joey) Carrico and Martin (Laura) O'Melia III; is his sister Mary (Kevin) Coppinger, and niece Lauren. Marty also had three grandchildren Joel, Alyssa and Ben.

He was preceded in death by his father, Martin B. O'Melia Sr.; mother, Donna O'Melia; and brother Mike O'Melia.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 2:00-8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. A funeral service for Marty will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, Indiana 46342 with Pastor Scott Marshall officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow.
