Marvin L. Hotkiewicz

MARVIN L. HOTKIEWICZ, age 81, of Frankfort, IL, passed away Monday, October 5, 2026. He was born in Hammond. Marvin retired from Electromotive after many years of service building locomotives. He loved the outdoors, trap shooting and was an avid fisherman.

Marvin is survived by his 2 children, JoAnn (Sam) Azar and Stephen Hotkiewicz; 8 grandchildren, Rebecca (Ben) Pollock, Jamil (Brittany) Azar, Shady (Hayley) Azar, Alex Burda, Jazmin (Benjamin) Ellis, Thomas Burda, and Laith Azar, Crystal Vanwhite; 3 great grandchildren, Alan, Josie and Colton; siblings, Ray (Diane) Brines and Nancy (Walter) Mullins; and other loving family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Brines; his grandparents, Frank and Mary Hotkiewicz; wife, Amy Hotkiewicz; daughter, Sandra Burda; and sister Eloise Mackey; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Funeral services for Marvin will be held at 11:00 am Saturday October 10, 2026, at Rees Funeral Home 600 W Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana with Deacon Michael Booth Officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at 1:00 pm Saturday at Holy Cross Cemetery 801 Michigan City Road Calumet City, Illinois.
