MARVIN "MARV" GREGORY, age 73, of Hobart, died on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Saint Mary Medical Center. Marv was born March 5, 1937 in Southern Indiana to Orris O. and Pearl Gregory. Marv moved to Northwest Indiana at a young age and was a lifetime area resident. He married Luanne Pelot on August 27, 1955 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Gary. Marv was an auto part salesman and owner and operator of Tolleston Auto Parts. Marv was an avid golfer and was involved in leagues at Indian Ridge, Oak Knoll and Cressmoor. He bowled in a senior mixed league at Hobart Lanes. He enjoyed NASCAR and Indy car racing and was involved in stock car racing at Broadway Speedway. Marv will be missed dearly.

Marv is survived by his loving wife of over 55 years Luanne (nee Pelot); 4 children, Mitchell Gregory of Lake Station, Marc (LouDean) Gregory of Savannah, TN, Laura Trail and Andrew (Mary) Gregory all of Hobart; 14 grandchildren, Vincent Gregory, Tanya (Eric) Eshelman-Gregory, Colette Gregory, Elijah (Star) Gregory, Jeremy Gregory, Alicia (Jeff) Bishop, Cindy Gregory, Raymond Gregory, Caryn (Ryan) Thompson, Ian Trail, Erik Gregory, Brian (Lesley) Gregory, Andrew Gregory, and Janis Gregory; 6 great grandchildren; other loving family and friends.

Marv was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 1 sister.

A funeral service for Marvin will be Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart with Rev. Lourdu Pasala officiating.
