Marvin Francis Wilson "Uncle Bub", age 60, of Portage, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 at home. He was born on April 14, 1955 in Gary, Indiana. Bub was a member of the Yogi Bear Park Patrol at Jellystone Park in Portage for over 14 years. He enjoyed doing crafts and loved to garden. He loved children and never knew a stranger. Bub worked as a custodian for the Portage School System for over 25 years.

He is survived by his sisters, Mary (Ron Westbury) Lush, Linda (Larry) Shadley; niece, Sherry (Edward) Howard; nephews, Steven D. (Katherine) Lush, Larry Shadley Jr.; great nieces, Victoria Howard, Ashley Shadley, Emily Howard; great nephews, Theodore Shadley, Steven L. Lush; very special extended family members, Tina (Jeff) Cuellar-Green; Kimmy (Billy Long) Cuellar, McKenzie Lyons, Cody Lyons, Charles Zeck and all of his Yogi family at Jellystone Park in Portage.

Bub was preceded in death by his father, Francis Wilson; step mother, Alpha B. Wilson; mother, Dorothy Kirby; stepfather, George Kirby; brother in law, Steven C. Lush.

A funeral service for Bub will take place Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Avenue, Lake Station with Rev. Tina Cuellar-Green officiating. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
