Mary L Baltrushaitis, age 91, of Hobart passed away Tuesday March 26, 2024, in the Brentwood Assisted Living Center in Hobart. Mary was born to the late John and Catherine (Barnes) Dobrowolsky on October 2, 1932, in Lisbon, Ohio. She was very active in Assumption BVM Church Parish serving in the choir and as a Cantor, she volunteered for Christian Charities and acted as Raffle Ticket Chairperson. She volunteered for the food pantry and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Unit 289.

Mary is survived by, her son, John (Karen) Baltrushaitis of Hobart; three daughters, Joyce Harris of Chesterton, Ann (Michael) Rosas of San Leandro, CA, and Louise (Paul) Guglielmetti of Ohio; Five grandchildren, Lauren (Austin) Crabtree, Madelyn Baltrushaitis, Brian (PJ) Harris, Heather Harris, and Timothy Rosas; one great granddaughter, Claire Crabtree; special niece Teresa Acree; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Victor; her parents; a granddaughter, Lily Rosas; two sisters, Donna Kraynik and Catherine Reinhardt; one brother, John Dobrowolsky; and her special loving uncle Victor Dobrowolsky.

Mary's visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:30 am Monday April 1, 2024 at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin with 10:30 am Prayers at the Funeral Home and then Process to Assumption BVM Church, 3530 Illinois Street, New Chicago, Indiana at 11:00 am where Rev. Lourdu Pasala will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery Portage, Indiana.
