Mary B. Baron, age 94, of Lake Station passed away Friday June 14, 2013 at the Golden Living Center, Fountainview Place in Portage. Mary was born January 6, 1919 in Star, MS to the late John and Lola (Kelly) Loscuito. She was the owner of Mary & Dot's Ceramic Shop. She worked for U.S. Steel during the WWII, then she was a dressmaker in Gary and worked at the Monroe Packing House. Mary was a past member of the Hobart Township Advisory Board. On July 2, 1938 she married Joseph L. Baron, Sr. at St. Anthony's Cathedral.

Mary is survived by her loving son Joseph L. Baron of Portland, OR; her two grandchildren Nicholas J. M. Baron and Jessica L. Baron; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her parents, her daughter Mary Jo and her brother John Luocuito.

Funeral services for Mary will begin Tuesday June 18, 2013 with 9:30 am prayers at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, IN 46368. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2447 Putnam Street Lake Station, IN. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage, Indiana. Visitation will be Monday from 2-5pm and 7-9 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel.
