Mary E. Chambers, age 92, of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015. She was born on April 20, 1923 in Clark County, Illinois to the late Leonard and Mary Washburn. Mary was a charter member of Nativity of our Savior Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son: Silas (Bunti Anne) Chambers; daughters: Rosemary Chambers, Ruth (Thomas) Worley; grandchildren: Jennifer (Tim) Derosier, Michael A. Chambers, Nolan Worley, Nathan Worley; great grandchildren: Peter Derosier, Jacob Derosier, Zachary Derosier, Gavin Worley, Savannah Worley, Justice Worley; sister: Cynthia (Dave) Niswonger.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Leonard and Mary Washburn; husband: Silas Chambers; granddaughter: Julie Scanlan; sisters: Geneva Couch, Harriet Lee, Margaret Adams.

A funeral service for Mary will take place Friday, August 14, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage with Father Andrew Corona officiating.
