Mary E. Knight (nee Gordon)

Age 82, of Lake Station, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018. She was born on January 2, 1936 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Russell and Nellie (nee Greenawalt) Gordon .She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her five children; Laura Kathleen (JC) Boyd of Lake Station, Pamela Jean (Peter) Magdos of TN. Darlene Kay Ratliff of KY, Todd Andrew (Melody) Knight of Lake Station and Brian Christopher (Angela) Knight of Portage; sister, Corrine Smith of Dyer; many grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nolan O. Knight; her son, Russell Otis Knight; her parents, Russell and Nellie Gordon and two brothers, Donald and Harold Gordon.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the New Hope Church of God, 712 North 450 West, Valparaiso, Indiana 46383 with Pastor Terry Loomis.
