Mary Nell Gilland (nee McClure), age 87, of Miller, IN and formerly of Marion, KY, passed away on August 30, 2023.

Mary was born on July 12, 1936 in Marion, KY to the late Robbie and Lura (nee Cooper) McClure.  She was a graduate of Crittenden County High School, Class of 1956.  Two days after graduation on May 5, 1956, Mary married the love of her life, Ollie Clifton "Cliff" Gilland, and moved to Miller, IN.  They shared 36 loving years together until Cliff's passing in 1992.  She was a devoted homemaker and sold Avon for over 20 years.  Mary was a faithful member of New Chicago Baptist Church.  She helped the church with whatever they needed, whether it was assistance with Junior Church or singing and delivering Christmas cards to local nursing homes.

Mary was very involved with her church and her children and grandchildren.  She was always there to witness any events, including the beloved grandparent's day.  She was a loving mother to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren, and took care of her children's friends.  She was a mother to all!  Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mary is survived by her daughter: Mary Ann (Jerry) Gamble; daughter-in-law: Gerri Ann Wright; grandchildren: Melissa Carothers, Lisa Wright, Robbie Ray Wright, and Angie (Jeff) McAnry and their family; great-grandchildren: Dre, Dezi, Amanda, Clifton, Harmony, Kalli, and Gavin; and great-great-grandchildren: Andre, Avery, Eli, and Messiah; brother: Charles McClure; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband: Cliff; son: Robbie Gilland; grandsons: Clifton Carothers and Steven Henson; parents: Robbie and Lura; and siblings: Donald and Dwayne McClure, Paulette Conners, Doris Holder, Thelma Trail, and Edna Mae Fonda.

Cremation is entrusted to Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel.
