MARY F. HALL, age 91, of Charlotte, MI and formerly of Gary. Indiana, passed away, Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Mary was born in Tulsa, OK on July 2, 1921 to Charles and Iva Millender, who preceded her in death. She was a longtime Northwest Indiana resident and moved to Charlotte, Michigan in 2001. Mary was a crossing guard at Marquette Elementary in Miller from 1974-1978. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Lake Station and Grace Baptist Church in Portage, and was currently a member of Charlotte Church of Christ. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Mary is survived by her son, Marvin Hall of Arvada, CO; daughter, Iva Charlene (Don) Czarnecki of Charlotte, MI; 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Sean, Colt, Emily and Kasey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellsworth; son, Charles Ellsworth Hall and Daughter, Patsy; 4 brothers, Gerald , Loyd, Charles, and Donald; 2 sisters, Pauline Hancock and Vinita Cowan.
A funeral service for Mary will be Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, with Pastor Bob Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
