Mary Jane Moore, age 94, of Hobart passed away Friday night November 10, 2017 in her home with her family at her side.  Mary was born December 3, 1922 in Schneider, Indiana to the late Archie Dean and Iva Floy (Thurston) McCoy.  Mary Jane and her husband Raymond Moore were the owners and operators of Ray's Lanes and Ray's Lounge in Lake Station.  She was an avid bowler and was a member of the City, State and National Bowler's Hall of Fame.  Mary Jane travelled extensively, visiting nearly every state in the union and internationally.  She enjoyed watching the Cubs and the Bulls on Television.

She is survived by her four children, Beverly (Kenneth) Gadbois of Highlands Ranch, CO, Joann (Mickey) DeBoe of Portage, Daniel Moore of Hobart and Audrey Smith of Hobart; four grandchildren, Paul (Rachel) Eberwein, Perry (Le) Eberwein, Julia (Gavin) Fink and Joshua (Amy) Gadbois; nine great grandchildren, Camie, Jesika, Kimberly, Brandon, Lily, Gavin, Jr., Joshua, Jr., Caleb and Madeline; two great-great grandchildren, Brynleigh and Wyatt; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Raymond; three brothers Frank Strine, George McCoy and Lewis McCoy; and her sister, Frances Cox.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday November 18, 2017 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana with Pastor Bob Burton officiating.  Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.  Burial of Mary Jane's and Raymond's cremated remains will be in Lowell Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are preferred to the National Kidney Foundation, Unity Hospice or to a charity of the donor's choosing.
