Mary "Janet" Johnson

Mary "Janet" Johnson, age 85, of Hobart, passed away at home on Friday, July 06, 2018 surrounded by all of her children.  She was born in Hillview, Illinois on May 19, 1933 to the late Lowell and Rosalia (nee Meyers) Mundy.  Janet was a gifted homemaker who enjoyed gardening and fishing.  She loved God and family above all else.

Janet is survived by son, Dan (Debbie) Johnson of Hobart; daughters, Brenda (Tom) Finnerty of Crown Point, Sharon (Al) Breyfogle of Winamac, Sandy (Steve) Powell of Burkesville, KY; 9 loving grandchildren; 10 loving great grandchildren; brother, Delbert Mundy of Hobart; and sister, Pat Stacy of Colorado Springs, CO.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston "Roy" Johnson; daughter, Nancy Shultz; grandson, Brad Breyfogle; and her parents.

A funeral service for Janet will take place Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Chaplain Patricia Ciupek officiating at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd.
