Mary Lynn Marks

Mary Lynn Marks, age 74, of Hobart passed away Saturday April 8, 2023, in her home with her family at her side. Mary was born January 7, 1949, in Valparaiso, Indiana to the late Michael and Betty (Childers) Shalapsik. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her two children; Bud (Aida) Marks of Hobart and Debbie Marks of Hobart; her five grandchildren, Logan Marks, Jeremiah Spencer, Shanell Marks, Tiffany Rubush, and Jennifer Rubush; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tom Shalapsik of California and Michael (Bonnie) Shalapsik of Valparaiso; one sister, Joan (Bill) Anderson of Portage; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Michelle Rubush; and two sisters, Gloria Ray, and Barb West.

Mary's family entrusted her cremation to Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
