Mary Ann Mazepa, age 91 of Valparaiso passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015. She was born on July 26, 1924 in Gary, Indiana to the late Joseph and Anna Rubino. She was a lifetime Lake and Porter County resident and a former member of Assumption BVM Catholic church. Mary loved bowling and bowled in many leagues at Cressmoor Lanes. She also enjoyed playing cards, listening to music and dancing.
She is survived by one son, Larry (Sue) Mazepa of Hebron, IN; one daughter, Debbie (Chuck) Bouché of Valparaiso, IN; five grandchildren, Barbi Turney, Elizabeth Mazepa, Zachary Mazepa, Joe Bouché, and Stephanie Bouché, four great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Mazepa, one daughter, JoAnn Turney, and three brothers, Albert, Joe, and Jack Rubino.
Funeral services are Wednesday, August 26, 2015 beginning with 9:30 a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road and proceeding to Assumption BVM church for a 10 a.m. mass of Christian burial with Rev. Lourdu Pasala officiating. Visitation is Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 4:30 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
