Mary Jean Moore, age 76, a resident of Portage passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2011. She was born on March 26, 1934 in Crittenden County, KY the daughter of Charles Tabor and Cora Carner. Jean worked for 22 years at Bethlehem Steel as a tool crib attendant and at the Country Lounge Restaurant as a waitress for over 18 years. Jean was an avid collector of Beanie Babys, and enjoyed gambling in Las Vegas and at the boats.

Jean is survived by her loving family; daughter Sherry Perryman, Portage, son Harold (Carol) Linzy, Valparaiso, 7 grandchildren; William (LaShawn) Perryman, Tara Brewer, Steven (Gabby) Perryman, Michael (Shannon) Linzy, Richard Linzy, Patrick (April) Linzy, and Kristen Linzy, 16 great-grandchildren Brandon, Jordan, Teah, Tryton, Josh, Piper, Madison, Richie, MaKenna, Avery, Evan, Payton, Phoenix, Jasmine, Bradley, and Quinten, and other loving family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and was the last surviving of twelve children including brothers Everett Tabor, Roy Tabor, Herschel Tabor, Willard "Pete" Tabor, Leonard Tabor, and Luther Tabor, sisters Lula Mae Tabor, Sudi Belle Tabor, Carrie Glen Gill, Lizzie Brown, and Ruth Pupek.

A visitation for Jean Moore will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home – Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 31, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
