Mary "Jo" Rooksby

Mary "Jo" Rooksby, age 72, of Westville, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Horton VNA Hospice in Valparaiso. Jo was a dental assistant and had been employed by Dr. Robert Moon, D.D.S. in Hobart and then her husband, Dr. Lon L. Rooksby, D.D.S. in Portage. She was an active member of the Dental Assistant Association.
Jo is survived by her loving family, 6 children: Robin Cahillane, Westville, IN, Pam Chappo, Greenfield, IN, and Tracy (Tom) Gelsosomo, Hobart, IN, Donald (Debbie) Walker, North Smithfield, RI, Renee (Rusty) Bounds, Mississippi and Matthew Rooksby, Bloomington, IN, mother, Beth Zeigler, Rensselaer, IN, 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sister, Jan (Jack) Eldridge, Rensselaer, IN, and other loving family and dear friends. Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Lon L. Rooksby, D.D.S. and her father, Grant Zeigler.
There will be a memorial visitation for Jo on Friday, August 19, 2011 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel with Chaplain Craig Forwalter officiating. Cremation preceded the memorial service.
