Mary J Szwajkowski, age 78, of Hobart, IN, passed away Thursday March 10, 2016. She was born on June 19, 1937 in Gary, Indiana to the late Clem and Jean (nee Rowe) Sawa. Mary worked Heating and Air-conditioning at Bethlehem Steel in Portage. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart.
She is survived by her son Bob (Joyce) Szwajkowski; brother, John (Nancy) Sawa of Boone Grove; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and two sons, Tim and Michael Szwajkowski, and her parents.
Funeral services for Mary will be held Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10 am at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage.
