Matthew J. Kazmierowski, age 93, of Crown Point and formerly of Illinois, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014. He was born in Chicago on February 16, 1921 to the late Joseph and Magdalena Kazmierowksi. Matthew was a veteran of the US Army and served during WWII in Africa and Italy. He was retired from US Steel Southworks. Matthew was a Scout Leader and enjoyed fishing. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his son, Lynn (Christina) Kazmierowski of Lansing; 2 daughters, Margaret (John) Bisone and Christine (Daniel) Mantinovich both of Crown Point; brother, Robert Kazmierowksi of Lansing; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Matthew was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; brothers, Kenneth and Bob Orze; sister, Dorothy Mikalasko (nee Kazmierowski). Services were private according to Matthew's wishes. Arrangements handled by Rees Funeral Home, Winfield Chapel.
