Mattie B. Barber

Mattie B. Barber, age 88, of Hobart passed away Sunday March 25, 2018 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart.  Mattie was born January 6, 1930 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Ulmon and Martha (Robinson) Kelly.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife.  She will be greatly missed by her family.

She is survived by two children, Anthony (Tammy) Barber of Hobart and Reasha (Barry) Stoddard of Crown Point; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mattie was preceded in death by her husband Evone Barber; two daughters, Charlotte Barber and Glenda Angelucci; four sons Dwight, Ricky, Wade and Kenneth Barber; her parents; one sister and five brothers.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday March 28, 2018 at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel 5341 Central Avenue Portage, IN 46368 with Pastor Bob Burton officiating.  Burial will follow in McCool Cemetery in Portage.  Visitation will be from noon until 1 pm at the funeral home.
