With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Maureen Wendrickx, who departed this life in Portage, Indiana on November 17, 2024, leaving an irreplaceable void in her family's hearts.

Survived by: Husband Larry "Joe" Wendrickx, two children Lori Oates and Kristie (Doug) Powell who she loved dearly. Three grandchildren that were the loves of her life: Sean Oates, Daniel Oates and Kayla Powell. Siblings, Cathy Head, Patty Gorman, Tim (Tracee) Gorman and Mike (Judy) Gorman. Moe will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews whom she adored beyond words.

Preceded in death by Mother Jeanette Gorman and brother Joe Gorman.

Maureen dedicated her career to the Portage Assessor's office, where she found joy in her work and camaraderie with her colleagues. Her campaign slogan was "Vote for Moe," reflecting her spirited engagement with the community.

Of her many accomplishments her fudge was legendary, a beloved holiday treat for her family. She had a passion for gardening and enjoyed walks with her sisters. Maureen traveled the world and even went skydiving, she embraced life fully. We miss you dearly, Mom, and we love you always.

Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel was entrusted with her final arrangements.
