Maxine Kozaites

Geneva "Maxine" Kozaites, age 94, of New Lisbon, WI, formerly of Winamac, IN passed away on January 13, 2022. She was born on September 28, 1927 in Caraway, Arkansas to Clarence and Themla (nee Spargo) Looney.  Maxine devoted her time living the life of a minister's wife.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Ernie) Lawrence of Chesterton, IN; four grandchildren, Darlene (Craig) Walters, Annette (Carl) Charlson, Jason (April) Lawrence, Natalie Poston; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Kozaites; husband of 71 years, George Kozaites, Jr.; and her parents.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Ledford officiating at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368.
