Marie Taylor,age 90, passed away peacefully at Magnolia Manor in Columbus, Georgia on February 18, 2015. She was born on November 16, 1924 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois to the late Kenneth and Velma Jones. She married James Albert Taylor Sr. in Crown Point on February 28, 1948. Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
Marie is survived by her Children; James A (Tanna) Taylor, Jr. of Valparaiso and Linda M. Taylor-Hurt of Georgia, brother; Thomas (Jeanette) Jones of Schererville sister-in-law, Phyllis Jones of Hobart, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Taylor, Sr., her parents, brother, Donald Jones and sister, Marylou Thiel.
A funeral service for Marie will be held Friday, February 27, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, Indiana 46342. Private family burial at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
