Mercedes Martir-Rivera

Age 101, of Cromwell, Connecticut passed away Sunday November 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 24, 1922, In Lares, Puerto Rico to the late Meliton and Pastora (nee Soto) Martir.

She is survived by her 9 children, Soledad Cebollero, Susana M. (Filomeno) Cebollero de Rizo, Jose Cebollero,  Nancy (Glenn) Tuttle, Angel Luis (Myriam) Aponte, Nelson Aponte, Magdaline (Francisco) Muniz, David Aponte (Norma), Ida Luz Franco (Fernando Longoria), 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her two sons,  Francisco G. Cebollero, and Pedro A. Cebollero, parents, brother, Manuel Rivera and Pablo Soto and sister, Rosa Maria Muniz.

A visitation for Mercedes will be held Monday, November 13, 2023, from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at Latin Pentecostal Church 3950 Marquette Road, Lake Station 46405, with a 7:00 pm funeral service.  Burial at Graceland Cemetery.
