Michael A. Bellinger, age 53, of Hobart passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at home. He was born June 1, 1963 in Gary, Indiana to Bertha Schnabel and the late Charles Bellinger. Michael was a Scale Tech at Roche Steel in Michigan. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Michael is survived by his mother, Bertha; step- father, Earl Schnabel; step-mother, Marian Bellinger; along with his three children, sons, Bradlee (Kelli) Bellinger, Mitchell Bellinger; daughter, Karlie (Chris) Kalis; three grandchildren, Lyla Honeycutt, Ronan and Onora Bellinger; two sisters, Kim (Perry) Maynard and Michelle (Ken) Thews; two half-brothers, Brett (Lisa) Bellinger and Dustin (Danielle) Bellinger; two step-brothers, Michael (Sherri) Schnabel and Duane (Nicole) Schnabel; two uncles, Larry Powell and Ralph Schnabel; an aunt, Christie Schulte; numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bellinger and his step-sister, Lynn Campbell.
