Michael Sean Bishop, age 49 of Hobart passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was born on October 20, 1972 in Gary, Indiana to Ronald and Reba Bishop. On July 1, 2000, he married Kimberly Cox in Lake Station, Indiana. Mike was the owner and operator of Bishop Exteriors for the past 30 years.  He was an avid Cubs fan and loved to ride his motorcycle. He enjoyed gardening and cooking for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Bishop; daughter, Kayla (Eugene Foster) Bishop; son, Zach (Irene Iniguez) Bishop; father, Ronald Bishop; sisters, Michelle Bishop, Melissa Reed, Carlyne (Jeff) Horn; brother, Jeffery Bishop; nieces and nephews, Marquetta Bishop, Justin Reed, Ashley Holland, Alyssa Perzo, Kyle and Krissy Herma; great nieces and great nephews, Molly Herma, Zariyah and Josiah Johnson, Kahlaya McDavid, Zakary, Xavier and Killian Reed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Reba Bishop; sister, Terry Johnson; brother, Ronald Bishop, Jr.; aunt, Linda Bishop; nephews, Ryan Reed and Jacob Halverson; niece, Shyane Bishop; and great nephew, Braylynn Bishop.

A funeral service for Mike will take place Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart.
