Michael Evanovich, age 55, of Portage, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020.  He was born on November 1, 1965 in Gary, Indiana to the late George and Jennie (nee Grochowski) Evanovich. He worked as a welder at Hadady Corp in Dyer. He enjoyed spending his free time fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his two daughters, Amanda, and Brittany Evanovich; two brothers, John (Diane) Evanovich and George Evanovich all of Hobart; four sisters, Judy Schiess of Nevada, Christine Mueller of Arkansas, Celeste Anderson of Hammond, and Kathy (George) Marks of Hobart and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Georgetta Green and brother, Rick Evanovich.
